March 8, 2018

St. Petersburg, Florida – March 8th, 2018 – Kory Enders will kick off his racing season this weekend at the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg as he begins his quest for the 2018 Cooper Tires US F2000 Championship powered by Mazda. The Houston native will begin his second season in the Mazda Road to Indy with DEForce Racing and has immediately become a championship favorite after showing considerable speed in pre-season testing.

Last year’s St. Pete Grand Prix represented the first ever event in the MRTI ladder for Enders, who had a best qualifying and finish of eight. The 20-year-old will drive the #11 car representing Mercedez-Benz of Sugarland.

Enders will lead the DEForce squad of four cars as they look for their first team win at the tricky 1.8-mile, 14-turn street and airport temporary circuit.

“We are here at St Pete for the 2nd time with DEFforce racing and I’m really looking forward to racing here again. I love street races specially because they are so narrow. One of our problems last year was overcoming my fear of getting as close as possible to the walls and pushing as hard as I could, but I think with all the training we’ve done over the off season I’m well prepared for that now so I’m really looking forward to placing highly in this race this year!”
