Kory Enders Finishes 1st and 4th in Front of F1 Crowd in Mexico City For Immediate Release

October 29, 2018

Mexico City, Mexico – October 29, 2018 – Kory Enders went to Mexico City riding the momentum of his results from the Circuit of The Americas and ended up finishing 4th and 1st during the first round of the 2018/2019 Formula 4 FIA NACAM Championship with team Martiga in support of the Formula One Mexican Grand Prix.

Expectations were high for Enders and team Martiga after the American won all three races of the final round of the 2017/2018 FIA Formula 4 NACAM Championship back in July of this year.

Enders kept the dream of the repeat alive after finishing on top during practice and claiming pole in qualifying. A dramatic start left Enders fighting from last place after another car made contact with him in Turn 2 on the first lap. The American was the quickest car on the track and was on pace to make it on the podium but did not have enough time left in the race and finished 4th.

Enders started Race 2 from 3rd on the grid and took the lead on the first lap and ran away with it. Enders won the race, finished with the fastest lap, and had a gap of 8.3 seconds between him and 2nd place.

“This weekend went almost exactly as planned! We got the pole position in qualifying but unfortunately, I got hit from behind in the second corner forcing me to make a recovery drive from last to 4th! Then starting 3rd in the second race, because of the reverse grid, we made our way to 1st by the 4th corner and led every lap making a large gap to win the race! Thanks to everyone on the team that made this possible, and thanks to all the fans who were out supporting us all weekend!”
