Indianapolis, Indiana – May 14, 2018 – Kory Enders endured an extremely eventful weekend of racing for rounds three and four of the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda finishing 5th and 6th with DEForce Racing.

Enders went into the Month of May in Indianapolis hungry for another podium after his performance in the NACAM F4 Championship in Monterrey Mexico. Qualifying in the 26-car field was competitive with Enders securing the 8th spot on the grid for the first race. Race 1 of the Royal Purple Synthetic Motor Oil Grand Prix of Indianapolis was full of drama with one car flipping over at one point. The driver, Michael d’Orlando with team BENIK emerged from the crash unharmed. It looked as if Enders would have to settle with 6th place until Brazilian driver, Igor Fraga, made a mistake and went off track allowing Enders to pass the finish line in 5th.

Race 2 proved to be just as intense with several incidents. Enders started from 11th but was determined to fight his way to the front of the pack again. The 20 laps kept the drivers and teams engaged as positions swapped throughout the entire race. With one lap to go, the twenty-year-old from Sugarland, Texas had put himself in 6th place. Enders was ready to pounce on a few more positions after the re-start from a full course yellow, but another incident took place and the race finished under caution with Enders in 6th.

Round 5 of the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda will take place on May 25th in Indianapolis, Indiana. In correlation with the Indy 500, Enders will race at Lucas Oil Raceway on the only oval course of the 2018 calendar.

“We had a pretty good weekend here at Indianapolis. We got top five yesterday and my teammate Jose Sierra got a podium with third place. Excellent points for the team championship. Unfortunately, we just missed out on another podium in race two, but I was able to keep it together and Kohl was able to stay behind me so we racked up sixth and seventh place for the team. Great points again, but unfortunately Colin was penalized and he lost his points. We barely lost the championship lead, but we are looking forward to getting it back at Lucas Oil.”
